The sad state of cursing today
October 12th, 2003 -- by Augie De Blieck Jr.
I was watching the “opening day” of PBA Bowling this afternoon on ESPN, when a first-time-on-television bowler left an ugly split. Forgetting the microphone pinned to the front of his shirt, the bowler cursed himself out. The first word was the ever-so-popular and versatile “f” word, which ESPN didn’t catch quickly enough to mute. He followed that up right away with “gosh darnit.”
HUH?!? We went from “F” to “gosh darnit”?!? Weird.

LOL!!!!
I shouldn’t laugh, though. Sounds like something I would do.

And you WATCH bowling???

Religiously. The PBA, at least. Walter Ray Williams Jr. is probably the greatest bowler of all time. Great fun to watch.
They try to do things to make it look cooler and more “relevant.” They usually fail miserably, but I still like the heart of it — the pure bowling.
I’ve also been known to watch golf, billiards, baseball, slamball, football, hockey, and basketball.

That sounds like something good to hit bowling. Gives it more of an edge. ;)
