My promise to you
No April Fool’s gags here at Various and Sundry tomorrow. I hate them. They’re usually painfully juvenile at best, and destructive at worst. I’m not going to subject anyone to that. Each year on April 1, I vow to not even bother with the internet because it gets so bad. (And then go back on that pledge five minutes into the day.) To my mind, it’s a good gag if it’s funny and unbelievable. Too many people take delight in trying to fool others.
Not here.

Oh, you’re no fun at all. :)
My gag(s) this year are my most elaborate to date. After my gag last year (the GTA: Sin City story at Shacknews) got picked up by so many real outlets and the rumor stayed in circulation for almost a year, it had to be. :)

You do realize, of course, that a lot of your readers are just going to assume this post is a set-up for tomorrow’s April Fool’s Day gag…

Jody –> That would be dirty pool. Kinda like saying “I’m kidding” when I’m not. It’s something a teacher taught me in high school. He was always the one to crack jokes, but when he said, “Seriously,” he meant it. If he broke that bond, then nobody could EVER take him seriously.
So, no. No April Fool gag here. Although, yeah, in a most deceivious way, it would be perfectly set up now.
Jason –> I’ll visit your blog again on Friday. ;-)
