Screw you, ESPN
Last week, I recorded TILT twice on its premiere night. In neither case did the show start on time. That’s OK, because I figured they’d rerun it a dozen times. I chose last night to record it again. They had it scheduled for an odd time slot of 7:30-8:30. I could work that into my schedule. I set TiVo up for it.
Checked the TiVo afterwards and guess what? They changed their minds. They were showing football programming instead. No TILT. Without warning, ESPN decided not to stick to their schedule. A crawl at the bottom of the screen explained that the show wasn’t going to air.
The hell with ESPN. If this is the way they want to handle the series, then I don’t need ‘em. I’ll wait for a DVD boxed set, if it’s really that good.

Just a guess, but I wonder what the ratings were for the show. If the ratings were anemic, ESPN probably figured they’d snag more viewers with a football show than with TILT.

I’m still waiting to get the last five minutes of the first episode, too! It’s pissing me off. I mostly liked what I saw of that first episode (although Nat makes a good point, that the poker players only seem to be good because they always have the best cards — real poker players win without having the best cards), but how can I become a fan when I keep taping incomplete episodes, or, like you, a completely different show entirely? Frustrating.
