“Fallen Idol” next week

Just saw the commercial for ABC’s upcoming AI “expose.” It’s scheduled now for May 4th.

DRUDGE REPORT FLASH 2005

ABC has been warned in writing it could face legal fallout for airing its scathing behind-the-scenes look at FOX’s AMERICAN IDOL, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. FOX owner Rupert Murdoch has informed executives that it appears ABC is attempting to maliciously “destroy” the nation’s most-watched series as it heads into the final weeks.

If all they’re doing is interviewing losing contestants, ABC won’t have a leg to stand on. There are always sore losers. And most of them will float wild conspiracy theories to explain why they’re perfect voice didn’t win. Look, nobody ever said AI was perfectly fair. It’s always been obvious that the judges picked favorites. If the Americanpublic falls for that and let’s that dictate their voting, then they deserve what they get.

Not to be a gossip hound or anything but something that could relate to this story that I heard on the radio today was that a losing contestant on the show claims to have a tell-all book coming out detailing his affair with Paula Abdul and how she told him he would receive 2 million dollars from her to jumpstart his career. Anyone else heard about this?

Yeah, I saw that on TV last night. It’s Corey Clark. It’s probably not true. It seems so outlandish and just over the top. Even for Paula. Plus, Simon says she’s innocent and Simon’s always right.

Paula having an affair with Corey Clark? OK, MAYBE I can believe that. But why in the hell would she offer him $2 million to jump-start his career? That strains believability waaay past the breaking point for me.

It strains believability until you take into account Paula’s own admission that she has long been under the influence of mind-altering drugs. Methinks she has already begun her defense by saying that even if she did make such promises, she was out of her mind.

I just saw the prime time event of the “Fallen Idol”, and am quite frankly ticked at Paula But, isn’t Seacrest also dating one the contestants that didn’t make it? Whats the deal there? What a disapointment to all the contestants and veiwers alike. Was this a way out of Paula’s contract I wonder? Not that I doubt that there is some semblence of truth in here somewhere. One way to get rid of a judge quick also.
