Oops, I was wrong. I didn’t have the most up to date version of QuickTime installed on my computer. Once I did that, though, the episode of LOST I downloaded from the iTunes store played just fine on my computer.

Some of the niggling details get lost with the small picture, but it’s overall very sharp and clear. The motion on the video is smooth. The sound is great. The image suffers a little from wide shots and establishing shots and shadowy pics, but it’s a very serviceable video if you’re a die hard who missed an episode.

I suspect most of the first week sales of LOST, though, were by people like me who just wanted to test the technology, even if it costs two bucks to do so.
