Monday Link Dump
* Check out the Apple Quicktime movie trailer website. It’s recently updated, and now includes tons of high definition trailers for download. They hadn’t updated any new trailers in high def in a long time. In fact, since they started it earlier this year, it hasn’t been a big thing — only one or two at a time, with months before refreshes. Now, it seems Apple has decided to go with it in a serious way. Maybe it’s the video iPod stuff getting the bug into them to get it done. I don’t care; I just enjoy watching trailers at 1080p. The picture quality is spectacular.
* BMWFilms.com is offering all their shorts on DVD for less than for dollars in shipping charges. You can also still view them on the main website, but only for another week or so.
* Orson Scott Card’s Intergalactic Medicine Show is now open for business. It’s a website dedicated to new science fiction stories and art. With his name behind it, it should garner a large following. And, yes, they are accepting submissions.
* I downloaded an episode of LOST via iTunes but can’t get it to play on my computer. Anyone else having that problem? I’ve authorized the computer to play the video titles. I’ve downloaded the latest and greatest version of QuickTime. What am I missing?

I know this is off-topic, but did you just hear the news about Charles Rocket, aka “Bruce Willis’ brother on ‘Moonlighting’”, and actor hired to play slime in numerous TV and movie supporting roles?
The police found his body outside his home in Connecticut. Apparently, Rocket cut his own throat. He was only 56.
Man oh man. You have to be pretty down to do that to yourself…
I feel sorry for his friends and family.
The media’s reporting on his SNL “swear moment” like that’s the greatest thing that happened in his career. As usual, they focus in and magnify one dumb event in the poor guy’s life!

I’ve had the short films on DVD for awhile. They are great!

Try watching it through iTunes. I’ve downloaded the first episode of Night Stalker (why they’d want to only have “selected” episodes of a show that’s taking a bath in the ratings is beyond me) and it works fine through iTunes. Haven’t finished the episode yet, but it’s been due to other demands on my time.

That’s what I did, Beau. The window is there but it’s blank, and there’s no sound. Maybe I should try downloading it again or something. I tried opening it up in its own window, but no go there, either.

Weird. And you have to have the latest version of iTunes to download them at all. Hmm.
