Monday Link Dump

* The LOST tribute video - set to “Bohemian Rhapsody.” And this is Weird Al Yankovic’s version. Who’da thunk the lyrics would fit the series so amazingly? Takes a while to load, but is worth it. It’s also spoiler-filled through to season two. If you haven’t seen the show, very little of it’ll make sense to you anyway. . .

* Van Halen is not doing ROCKSTAR next season. I guess we’re back to guessing Queen, then.

* I’m surprised: SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE has been renewed for next summer. It was empty calories, but it was entertaining. There has to be a drinking game out there somewhere for hostess Lauren Sanchez, though. (Take 1 sip every time she says, “you guys.” Take one sip every time she points directly to the camera. One sip for each use of “make some noise” or “give it up.” One sip for every contestant she calls “hot.” etc.)

* The classics never die. Their websites just get updated and more confusing to find the classics on. (Heck, that’s not even the popular version of the thing, but it’ll do for today’s sake.)

* Giant bunny wabbit.

    I don’t think it’ll be Queen, since what’s left of them just finished touring with Bad Company’s Paul Rodgers. Van Halen not doing it is too bad, since it’s pretty unanimous they would be perfect for it.

    Depends on how much May and Deacon (was it Deacon - I know one of the other two didn’t partake?) liked being “Queen” again. I don’t think the Paul Rodgers thing was intended to be permanent–just a way to get a tour off. No new songs, no big new album, and they had to let Rodgers do some of his hits as well. If the tour gave them a taste they want more of, I could easily see them signing on to a ROCKStar: Queen, especially of the new INXS tour/album do well.

    OT: Although I HATE Smallville with a passion, I can’t deny that show has some good-looking women on it!

    ComicsContinuum.com has some photos up of Erica Durance (”Lois Lane”) from an upcoming episode where Lois goes undercover as a stripper.

    (I read the Continuum, but don’t follow the show).

    Durance is EASILY the best-looking Lois Lane yet… :)
