OT: Surprised there's been no news here about this LITTLE tidbit...

If you haven't been to a videogame store or Wal-Mart lately, you've missed the public roll-out of the X-Box 360 demo units.

I just saw one the other day while I was hunting for a PS2 game on sale 50% off.

Graphically, it looks pretty good for high-def, but I'm still waiting to see what Sony offers for the PS3 next year.

It's just too early I think for a new system this year.

At any rate, I doubt Microsoft is going to take away the videogame business from Sony... X-Box more or less failed worldwide with the exception of the US and only recently managed to turn a profit after losing several billion dollars for most of its first 4 years.

Wow - I've only got 4 shows in the Top 25! Guess those arguments that my wife and I get into over my excessive TV viewing habits are moot now! I'm going to base all future disagreements on this list. ;^)

Instead of all the CSI and Law & Order variations, what I wouldn't do to see Arrested Development, Veronica Mars and The Amazing Race on this list.

Tom: Off the top of my head, my other season passes are for THIS OLD HOUSE, PBA BOWLING, WORLD SERIES OF P0K3R, CELEBRITY P0K3R SHOWDOWN, THE DAILY SHOW (tho I rarely watch it anymore), JOEY, NUMB3RS, and AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL. Thankfully, I have two TiVos.

And I'm seriously considering dropping all CSIs. I watched a couple over the weekend for the first time in a couple of weeks and realized something: I didn't miss them, and they're all the same boring stories of strange sex followed by death and dismemberment, and a shocking twist ending. The funny thing is, I find MIAMI to be the most entertaining of the three right now.

Competitive time slots mean nothing to TiVo! I have Tuesdays at nine triple booked. When the first one has a repeat, TiVo looks down the list.

Not as satisfying as catching the shows first run, of course, but it's still a possibility.

And the networks have conveniently been using Saturday as a day to rerun shows from the week, so you might be surprised at how many competitive shows have a second chance for TiVo to catch them.

Wow, I only have six of the top 25 on my season passes. You watch more TV than I do!! (Or you just watch more popular TV than I do.)

I would have House on a season pass, but it's in a competitive timeslot, and I have to decide week by week whether I can watch it or not. Sad. But I think one of the shows it's up against is Commander in Chief (which IS on season pass), and that show is becoming borderline with me. I'll stick with it to see if Bochco can improve the writing. Meanwhile, I know House will be on DVD eventually.
