Apprentice (27 Oct) open thread
So, last night’s episode was adventurous and exciting, eh? We had big happenings in this episode, the kind we could only talk about behind spoiler walls a mile high. Since I have the capability of using a jumpcut thing here now, I shall. SPOILERS to follow that, though.
Trump fired four contestants after their team suffered a humiliating failure of losing 35% sales. That’s the gist of it.
I think Trump is throwing the baby out with the bathwater in this case. You could very easily make the case for two of the contestants to go. The other two were a bit iffier. They made mistakes, sure, but were they worthy of being fired for them? Perhaps. And, hey, what’s more dramatic than a four-way firing?
In the meantime, you have to wonder what this means for this series. They just shaved three weeks off the show with that. Did they have it built into the show that two people were going to be fired on a couple of projects, and Trump just moved that event up? Or will they have a “safe” week where nobody gets fired?
And will Rhona be visiting the suite to let the remaining contestants know that their four friends aren’t coming back? Curious…
