Find an XBox 360 today

If you’re desperate to pick up an XBox 360 and need to know which Best Buy to find it at tomorrow, might I recommend this site? Just plug in your zip code and let it and Google Maps do the work for you.

Guys,
The first wave of X-Boxes ARE GONE! They’ve been presold, or lunatics are going to be camping all night at stores to get the 50 or less units the stores have been guaranteed for day one.
It’s a sucker’s delusion to buy a system the first day it’s out, btw.
Unless the product has the Nintendo or Sega logo on it, chances are almost better than even that you WILL get a lemon on day one. First production-run systems almost always have the most bugs in the production cycle of a gaming system.
Besides, have you all seen what’s available on X-Box 360? The SAME junk already available on the original X-Box! First-person shooters, PC ports (of FPS games developed for the PC), and not much else.
I’m amazed that the X-Box is number two in the U.S. but not surprised it bombed everywhere else in the world…

Self-correction.
Maybe Best Buy DIDN’T have pre-orders for store-sold consoles?
I saw a line of about 30-40 people waiting outside a local Best Buy.
All were there for the release of X-360 tomorrow.
Nuts, all of them!

With a wife and a child and an ever-shrinking amount of free time, my video game days are behind me. However, a friend of mine is childless and single and a serious gamer. He had planned to pick up an XBox 360 today.
He went out late last night to run an errand and he cruised by a Circuit City. When he saw a line of people outside the store at 2am, he decided to stop. He discovered that the first person in line had lined up at 4pm Monday afternoon. He also discovered that the store only had one reserve ticket left. He got the ticket, returned to his car, ran his errand, then returned to the Circuit City parking lot and sat in his car.
Hours passed. The sun began to rise. The manager opened the doors and began ushering the huddled masses into the store . . . 3 at a time, to turn in their prized tickets and pay for the XBox 360.
My friend had the last ticket, and got the last 360. It was the $299 base version, not the $399 version with the extras. He bought the extras separately and ended up paying $499 instead of $399 for the exact same stuff. Then he spend another $180 for three additional games.
It’s 10:45am now, and he’s sitting at home hooking up his new game.
I don’t know what to say, but I’m happy he’s happy.

Ugh. Anyone try getting one this morning? Every possible store there were people camped out. Target especially made me mad. There was no line (too good to be true) at about 7AM…A few minutes before they open, an employee comes out and tells us all that they had given out tickets at 6AM. Thanks, Target cronie, for making me stand in line for an hour and then shaterring my dreams as they were about to come true.

I had pre-ordered at one of the local game stores here, but they didn’t get enough systems in and told me I may not get on until Christmas. Circuit City sold a bunch on their website last Friday and I managed to snag one. I didn’t pay for quick shipping, but I ended up getting mine delivered by Fed Ex before noon today!
