24: Season 5, 11:00 a.m - Noon

Here’s your chance. Discuss this week’s batch of Jack goodness below.

DO NOT DISCUSS THE COMING ATTRACTIONS.

Spoilers for the season thus far after the break and in the comments.

(Brief note: Best Buy has the Season Four DVD set on sale this week for $42.99 with an extra 15,000 points for the Reward Zone members.)

So, now we’ve had our mole storyline in CTU. They did a good job this year in keeping it contained to one episode, assuming this is the last one. The only thing that bothers me, though, is that I’ve heard this mole story somewhere else recently. Was there another show or movie in the past year that had someone thinking they were working for the White House really turn out to be working for the bad guy? Not ALIAS. . . It wasn’t 24, was it?

Jack had a couple of great one-liners, but I can’t remember them worth a dang right now. I really liked the line he gave to Samwise when he said there was a connection in the White House. Samwise says he’d have to launch a huge investigation and Jack comes back with something along the lines of, “Well. You better get on that, then.” Cracked me up.

And, of course, always good to see Jack in action in CTU’s medical bay, killing Yet Another Person in there. It must be his favorite room in the HQ by now.

Nice scene with Audrey. Jack’s current girlfriend picked up on her look right away. I suspect we’ll see more on that next week. Poor Jack’s stuck in the middle now, for sure.

How long before Kim shows up to see her Dad now? If she’s still working for CTU, word must have reached her by now. Call in the cougars!

  1. Shawn Says:

Line of the night “I don’t work for CTU!”. Also, I did enjoy Chloe telling Edgar that they’ll share some Camomile tea when this is all over. BWAHAHA!

  2. Bill H. Says:

I admit that I was a bit disappointed that the mole cracked right away - I was predicting that Jack would get his second opportunity to “get his torture on”. Does this make me a bad person?

  3. Arune Singh Says:

    Bill, I feel the same.

Also, Augie, you miss the preview next week where EVERYONE DIES as Marwan returns. Eh, you can’t win ‘em all. ;)

Jokes aside, great episode. I’m interesting to see what the bigger plan is for the bad guys.
