* The new ZELDA Nintendo DS game trailer. Looks cool. Not that I own a DS or am planning on buying one, but I think it looks like fun.
* Much better pictures of the Nintendo Revolution.

Thanks a lot, Augie!
Reading the comments below the Revolution pictures gave me a headache…! It’s hard to figure out what a lot of barely literate graduates of the public education system and school children are saying between having to decipher run-on sentences and skip the third or fourth “kool” in a paragraph! LOL
Seriously, though, I don’t think it’ll be anywhere near number one in the next round of systems, either. X-Box 360 launched too early and won’t sell outside of the U.S. (just like the previous-generation X-Box) and early hype is really in Sony’s corner. Nintendo has to start showing games that stoke people’s interests instead of relying on promises of backward compatibility and a gimmicky controller…

Yeah, I doubt the Revolution will be #1, too. People are more turned on by graphics processing power than they are by game play. I mean, it’s not like there’s been a new genre of videogame invented in the last 15 years. After the FPS, it’s all been variations on the same damned themes, and the only improvements are the graphics.
But if the controller creates new gameplay that’s fun, then the Nintendo will fill a big gap in the market and do well.
I’ve also learned to skip the comments on video game and comics news blogs. Sometimes, I slip and hate myself for it later, but it’s usually what keeps my sanity up. It’s amazing how many people don’t bother to read a story before they comment on it.
