It’s official now, but it’s not enough:
Sony lowers price of PlayStation 2 to $129.99 – Joystiq
A little earlier than expected, [tag]Sony[/tag] announced today that they’ve reduced the recommended retail price for the [tag]PlayStation[/tag] 2 from $149.99 to $129.99/$139.99 CND.
Although maybe this might mean a used PS2 would go for $99 now.

Looks like online at places like GameStop, the used ones are going for $109.99.

No problem! Just think of the great catalog of games you’ll have access to when you finally get a PS2!
