Testing new sound equipment
May 13
I think the audio file I’m linking to here says it all, but a quick recap:
This is a test of the new podcasting gear I just picked up. I’m still playing with knobs and sliders and options and whatnot. But I’m curious how it sounds to you all. If there are any audio geeks in the audience who can suggest corrections to the sound, I’m up to the constructive criticism. Does it need more bass? Treble? Middle tones? Compression? Let me know what you think.
The file is under a meg large and just under two minutes long.
(UGH, I just listened to this test again. It sounds awful. More work needed, but I’ll still accept clues and tips from those who’ve worked through this before…)

Oof, nevermind. Listening to it now a day later, I realize how horrible it sounds. I have a lot of work yet to do with this new set-up.
I’m just not sure if I’ll be able to get rid of that hollow tinny sound the mic has without stapling soundproofing to the wall behind my computer. UGH
