Ratzi -- thanks. All fixed.

Scott -- I still love the scene where they threw a note attached to a window into a rock garden. Cracks me up every time.

The other trick Police aquad had was that each opening credit had a special guest star announced (one of them was William Shatner) but they always killed them in the credits they never got to be in the show.

"Police Squad" is lots of fun. I watched several of the episodes years ago -- presumably a VHS release that a friend had.

One of its great gimmicks was that it would always end with a closing wrap-up scene where someone would toss off a joke and then it would immediately freeze-frame while the credits rolled, a la "CHiPs" (does that date me? ...crap) and other shows. ...Except that in "Police Squad" it wouldn't be a real freeze-frame, all the actors would just have frozen in place -- and then someone else would come in the room and wonder why nobody's moving, or the criminal they just arrested would take the opportunity to split, or some similar gag. That always cracked me up.

Barrel roll, dammit. A role is what an actor has.
