Gentlemen, start your engines!

It’s been a while since the last entry in this series, hasn’t it?

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe Split – TMZ.com

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe have separated. The couple’s rep released a statement to TMZ Monday morning that says “We are saddened to announce that Reese & Ryan have decided to formally separate. They remain committed to their family and we ask that you please respect their privacy and the safety of their children at this time.”

(Thanks, Tim, for pointing this one out to me!)

And they’ve been married for 7 years. That’s forever in Hollywood time. I’ll betcha the only couples still married that are longer than that are Pau Newman and Joanne Woodward and Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: In a power couple, when the woman’s success far exceeds the man’s, that’s a recipe for disaster. There was Jennifer Garner with the FELICITY guy, Hilary Swank with Chad Lowe, and now this.

Btw, does Ryan Phillippe appear to be interested in anything besides himself and his looks? I’m not saying he’s really that way, but isn’t that the vibe he gives off?

she is sooooooooo not hot! Not even close. That might be the first “Rev Your Engines” pick that completely missed with me. :-(

I wouldn’t say she’s hot, but I would say that she’s definitely cute. Are you telling me you wouldn’t go after Reese Witherspoon if you had a chance Overworm?

Not interested at all. Honestly, there’s nothing about her that makes me warm. Maybe if I saw her in a bar at 1am after seven drinks, I would consider her semi-attractive. Other than that circumstance, I’m happy to leave her to the other engines in the race.
