- Cats can survive falls from great distances. It’s called the High-Rise Syndrome, which explains how and why it works.
- Ooh, pretty picture of a waterfall series.
- Have you ever wondered how a high end art auction works? The NY Times has a fascinating article on the procedures and personalities involved. (via Kottke)
- Using cognitive science paid off for a Who Wants To Be A Millionaire contesant. He made it all the way to the million dollar question, but I won’t spoil that for you. (Ibid)
- Disney has sold a half million movies on iTunes already. No wonder other companies might be interested in joining them.
- The air shower: Feels like a regular shower, uses 30% less water, by filling it with air.
- A very serious theory on what’s going on, plotwise, in LOST these days. Obviously, this could be a spoiler if it all turns out to be true.
- Is a Pulp Fiction sequel coming? Quentin Tarantino has been too quiet since KILL BILL, hasn’t he? GRINDHOUSE is coming next year, though, so perhaps it’s too quick to forget him.
- Kevin Smith to star in Showtime sit-com? It’s a remake of the once-starring Anthony (”VR.5″) Stewart Head Brit-com, MANCHILD. What, did CLERKS 2 kill any desire to ever direct again?

A moment so fraught with tension and fear that we forget how to spell “watched.”

All fixed – I’m due for at least one of those mishaps a month. Hope I didn’t ruin anything for you, Chad. I’m sorry about that one.

I think that guy’s theory is pretty far off. Read some of the comments… they tear really big holes in it that just can’t be patched up. It’s wishful thinking at best.
The biggest fault in the theory (this doesn’t spoil anything at all from this season) is the idea that any of the Others would want revenge on Charlie for kiling Ethan. Nobody should even have a clue that Charlie killed Ethan except for those 5 people there with him. It’s just absurd.
Sorry, it bugs me. I hate it when someone posts a theory that has obvious holes. At least the big theory posted in Entertainment Weekly several months ago made sense in and of itself, even if it couldn’t explain everything.

No worries, Augie. I saw the “Lost” headline and turned away.

Hey Cheap Shot!
I liked Clerks II. It was the best movie that I saw in the theatres this summer. IMHO
