Thank goodness Christmas arrived and we could finally break out the Wii. Man, it is fun. Wii Sports is great to play with the kids. My wife even played and I don't think she's ever held a video game controller in her life! I wasn't too impressed with Monkeyball so far, though. The kids loved Rayman, but are way more interested in playing Wii Sports at this point.

I'm sure everyone's seen the story about Madden '07 syncing up with the Weather Channel to give you real-time weather while you're playing. I played a game last night and it was raining outside and in the game. I'm not sure if it was coincidence or not. I would have never even noticed I don't think if I hadn't been "tipped off". I'll be keeping an eye on that just out of curiosity.

The kids are going to bed as I type this. It's time to break out Zelda and see what it's all about now...

Hmmm. After reading more, the ability to leave World -1 looks like it could be a hoax. I'm now skeptical. Still, I'll probably go join World -1 next time I play.

... whoa. You can actually get to the end of World -1? That's new to me. I'll have to try that out next time I fire up my NES. Or if I can find my GBA version of SMB.

And I feel your pain, Augie. My grandparents got my brother and I the Duck Hunt/Gyromite NES pack. I don't think we used R.O.B. much past the first week... if even that long. I went and bought SMB separately about 6 months later.
