- I’ll be damned if the new FANTASTIC FOUR 2 trailer doesn’t look awesome. Silver Surfer is amazing. Especially if you own an HD cinema display. Speaking of which:
- Apple rumor du jour: New displays coming soon, with built-in iSight. Still not enough to buy another one for me. I still drool in front of my 23″ Cinema Display, thanks.
- Sports Illustrated’s Most Interesting Photos of the year. I started you off in the middle there, just to be sure you saw the Asian kickball thingy. Many impressive photos throughout, though.
- Great Shockwave site showing why widescreen is better than pan and scan. Worth showing those relatives and friends who just don’t get it.
- Classic books as podcasts. Well, not true podcasts, but at least the audio files are there to download.
- Target has some great video game deals this week. ZELDA and GEARS OF WAR are only $39. I’m sure they’re sold out by now.
- Cool Star Wars “I Am Your Father” graffiti — with AT-ATs.
- Time for a little well-deserved crankiness: Not everything is a blog, dangit!

That asian kick ball thing was very interesting. When I was going through that list a while back, I stopped and just stared trying to figure out just what in the world was going on.

I didn’t see all of the first FF movie, basically because from the trailers, Dr. Doom seemed way off. Although I was starting to get into Waid & Wieringo’s run on the comic, I still wasn’t a big enough FF fan to put my money down on something that looked, well, goofy — even for a comic book film. I caught part of it on HBO when I was in a hotel some months back, and it was… okay.
But FF2? Oh, yeah. This looks good.

Jeez, that Widescreen demonstration is perfect.
