At the end of every year, you see the inevitable Year In Review lists. They might be the top stories in a given field or Best Of lists.

Along with those reviews come the previews of what’s coming up in the new year that we know about already.

On top of that are the predictions. Experts step out onto thin branches and take their best guesses for what will happen in the year ahead, extrapolating from known patterns, inside information, or just their own hopes and dreams.

I’ve seen a lot of that last kind of article recently, but there’s one thing I haven’t seen much of:

Articles focusing on last year’s predictions. Where are those? Can someone point out a few to me? I want to see how often these prognosticators guessed something correctly, or how far off they were. It’s a fun game to play, but the results can be more enlightening.
