Maybe my expectations were too high for one and too low for the other, but of the two, I'd give "Illusionist" a second watch. I had mixed feelings going in, because it was based on a book I really liked (by Christopher Priest -- no, the other one), but they did a really good job adapting it, and the cast is just great.
