- Mostly high-tech tools for writers. Yeah, you don’t really need any of these, but one or two would be handy.
- A record player for your car. Welcome to 1956.
- Don’t treat your employers better than they treat you.
- Beautiful pics of the construction of the world’s highest bridge in France. It’s from the people that brought you the Eiffel Tower.
- Have you noticed how often “definitely” is misspelled on the web? So has this guy.

re: the bridge
I seem to remember watching something on the Discovery HD channel (or maybe it was INHD) about the construction. I don’t have a lot of interest in engineering, but it was still quite a spectacle.
Also makes me wonder what they could have done with our new bridge spanning the Tacoma Narrows.

I gotta say that I disagree with that job thing. I understand the author’s argument, but our actions do define us and we need to stand for something, so simply being petty about quiting doesn’t make a nice statement. I say that not because it matters what others think, but because I do believe we need to respect ourselves and I don’t know how we can do that if we succumb to base emotions.
Plus, leaving a job means someone else has to pick up your slack, so cutting and running screws someone else.

Jason - I love those Extreme Engineering type shows. I’ll have to keep my eye out for this one. I can only imagine how cool it was.
Arune - It was a bit inflammatory, that piece, but I can sympathize with the frustrations and the need to throw some flames every now and then. It’s true what they say, though, about not burning your bridges. . .
