24 Season Six - 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Jack Bauer has feet

Update:: First, a digression: Who amongst us hasn’t considered changing his name to Jack Bauer. Well, someone in England now has. He’s this week’s hero/resident loon. Back to the show. . .

Charles Logan returned at the very end of last week’s episode, which raised a fair number of questions:

  • Where is he?
  • Why isn’t he in jail?
  • What does he know and when did he know it?
  • And where’s his wife?

We got most of those answers last night. and though I might not have mentioned my theories in that post, I got most of them right. =)

We also had the ticking time bomb of the plot to kill the president, a Soviet general out to pit the West versus the Middle East, and a CTU analyst with a drinking problem. And Jack changes clothes!

Discuss it all in the comments below with full spoiler flags flying. Just please do not discuss coming attractions for future episodes. Thanks!

I hate to say this, but… I’m getting bored. Last night, I wasn’t paying full attention to the show. Lots of talking, not enough action. Am I expecting too much from Jack, to want some shooting or torture every episode?

And just where did Jack get that suit? But I didn’t even pick up on the fact that usually Jack wears the same thing for a full day.

How much do you trust Logan? I’m don’t know. I’m trying to predict what the writers will do, and I could go either way on Logan turning on Jack.

As for the bomb casualties, my bet’s on Principal Wood, er, the President survivng, Assad not, but the story of Assad pushing the President to safety helping to sway the hearts and minds of Assad’s followers.

Yeah, not the most exciting episode, though Peter MacNicol was worth watching. And hey, Logan’s back and we’re all the happier for it, since it means soon will be the return of Aaron Pierce!

Here’s my question: Nancy Cartwright was supposed to be in this episode. What did I miss? Where was she? I don’t remember hearing her voice, and it’s usually fairly recognizable. Did her line get cut or something?

Phil - Jack carries a spare suit-and-tie in his CTU-issued helicopter and overnight bag! heh. I think I can trust Logan, if only because he’s being so obviously set up not to be trusted. Ditto Chloe’s ex-husband.

Man, I can’t believe we’re this far into the season and yet still have no mole inside of CTU.

Joseph - Aaron’s absence this season has been notable. We need him back, stat!

Augie: Nancy was Morris’ former AA sponsor. I, too, was looking for her, and it was a blink-and-you’ll-miss it appearance. As for Logan being obviously set up not to be trusted — yeah, I think so… but then I wonder if the writers are doing that knowing we’d think it’s so obvious so they’ll actually do it and — and then I realize it’s just a TV show, I should really just relax. ;)

Joseph: Yes! We need more Aaron!

Addendum - Nancy’s voice wasn’t that recognizable to me, so it was easy to miss her. I just happened to see her and think, “… yeah, that looks like Nancy. Must be her.”
