New DVD Releases for 22 May 2007
I saw the next door neighbor — with whom we share a wall — coming inside with a friend of hers and two bottles of wine around 7:00 earlier this evening. I assumed they were having a girls’ night in, and boy were they ever! They are, it would seem, REALLY BIG Dancing With the Stars fans. The running commentary I heard through the wall this evening — much of which couldn’t be reprinted in this fairly friendly-family blog — was more entertaining than the show, itself.
And they were very happy with the winner, given the number of times I heard feet stamping, whoops entering the air, and curse words thrown at the runner-up.
Today was also new DVD day, which had a couple of interesting TV-on-DVD releases:

Hey, how about that cliffhanger on SCRUBS? Are we about to get what we’ve wanted since the first season? Or is this just another fake out?
All of the other titles of interest this week were special edition rereleases.
Next week is an extremely small release week, without much of interest.

You WANT that to happen on Scrubs? Really? If those two get together and throw away the relationships they have, I’ll be ready to drop the show.

Hmmmm, I may have to get that MYTHBUSTERS DVD. That’s a show that I love whenever I get the chance to watch it, but I don’t catch it all that often, sadly.
I also should be watching SCRUBS. And THE OFFICE.

I’m not sure if I want that on Scrubs, but it would be consistent for HIM to completely want what he can’t have (not to mention being selfish and shallow) and HER to be insecure about what she really wants…
The show has never pulled it’s punches on the “realistic” stuff, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they completely mess up their lives… but I’m hoping they don’t.

Yeah, that was a shock ending. I guess it gives them an easy enough finish to the show seeing as I think the sixth season is the last, with Zach Braff anyway. Apologies if that is incoorect, I’m trying to recall him saying that in an interview.
I’m currently watching through the first season and it is brilliant and it is a show that was funny from the word go.
