Nintendo: Wii soon to be No. 1 worldwide (Updated)
Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime just made a prediction here on stage at the E3 video-game convention: “Wii is poised to become the No. 1 worldwide in this generation very soon,” he said. “Nintendo is not a fad.”
Plus, new controllers for driving and shooting games. Or, I suppose it’s more accurate to say, new plastic things to insert your Wii controller into for driving and shooting games.
And, there’s a “balance board” that will give you a full body workout. Engadget has lots of pictures to show potential gameplay. If you need exercise (and who doesn’t?!?), the Wii is for you.

The balance board, or “iFit” seems like another brilliant idea from Nintendo to gett everyone into using the Wii. Even wives and parents could use it….
G4 televised the Nintendo presentation, it blew away the Sony presentation. I did hear the MS presentation went pretty well, but I did not see it…
Sony is still focusing on promises of good games and its superior hardware.
While the BR disc is nice, there is not one game I’m looking forward to on the PS3 at any price.
Until they come up with their killer app (heck MS has several already), they’ll lag with the casual gamer (to wii) and hardcore gamer (to 360 (unless the 360 hardware continues to have problems)). Sony that’s the phone, its Sega calling…
