So You Think You Can Dance Finale – Spoilers

I’ll just quote wht I wrote yesterday:
“I think both Danny and Sabra are the better dancers.”
And those were your final two, with Sabra winning just under the closing credits. Poor Danny didn’t even get to see the video package they likely had prepared for him, just in case.
The Schwimmer Dynasty was prevented, as was the Travis/Danny Family Dynasty. Was it Nigel begging for a girl to win? I don’t know. I think it was a true toss-up this year. Either Danny or Sabra were deserving, and I think I’ve said in recent weeks that Sabra was my favorite. I’m not disappointed in this season.

Here’s the deal. I never liked Sabra. I can’t explain it, she just never ever wowed me on a personal level. Yes, beautiful dancer. Yes, picked up everything easily.
I think what irritated me was the “jidges” starting to really *push* Sabra on us a couple of weeks in, and then acting stunned when she made it to the finals. I would honestly have preferred Neil and Danny, despite the fact that would have prevented a girl winning again.

I agree totally with Patricia. I never “got” or “liked” Sabra either. She was very good, I was just never wowed. I too wanted and thought it would be Danny and Neil in the final two.
I also agree that part of my apathy for Sabra was the judges pusing her on us. They kept saying how amazing she was, how she danced with such heart, and that she was great. I honestly never saw it. Neither did my wife. We were both stunned by her winning. Good for her though–she is a very good dancer, just not my favorite.
Finally, how great was it to see Sara in so many of the favorite routines and that Shane Sparks had so many routines danced–great season for him.
