• I have no clue who’s going to win. The theory that it’s all the screaming teenage girls who vote would tend to favor Neil, though I think both Danny and Sabra are the better dancers.  But like Nigel said, this is a contest of favorites, not best.
  • It’s been fun to watch the vote totals grow over the weeks.  Just three or four weeks ago, they were just cracking the 5 million vote mark. Last week, they had over ten million.  Tonight, I suspect they may even hit 12 million.
  • Here’s the dance routine I wanted to see for Danny and Neil: Play some hard hitting music in the background, and just have a pirouette battle. Just like a drum battle, one contestant spins for his life, then the other attempts to copy it or do better.  Over and over again, until one drops from exhaustion.
  • Danny’s Lindy Hop was very slow. The judges gave him a pass on it, but it’s obvious he was tired and just couldn’t do all the jumps and kicks to the fullest.
  • I kinda liked the fox number between Sabra and Lacey, but it was bizarre and surreal. Nevertheless, I “got” it, and think the judges did themselves a disservice by acting so weirded out by it.  They liked Hok has a hummingbird, after all.
  • Danny’s solo was amazing.  When he lept across the stage doing splits, I felt both pain and amazement at how smoothly and flawlessly he did it.
  • Lacey had a good routine, too.
  • Neil did a good job moving straight from the hard core gymnastics into lighter dance moves.  He blended it all, and it was his best solo by far this series.
  • In fact, I think Sabra’s was the only one that didn’t wow me.
  • I wish I had taken notes last night.  There was so much there to talk about, but I’m out of time to type today, so make your guesses and leave your comments below!
