					<description>I tend to agree, particularly given that Spaced was as much or more a personal series as Coupling (and we recall how bad that translation was...even with some involvement by Moffat). On the other hand, the one bit that maybe provides some hope is that while Barr's been doing much more mainstream stuff recently, he was a significant writer on Parker Lewis Can't Lose. 

On the other hand, I really can't see the quirkiness of the original getting upper level approval, and as seen with The Office, the tightrope is basing something on the original but still giving it its own identity.</description>

					<description>Considering neither Pegg or Wright have no involvement in the show (in fact neither of them was ever contacted to inform them there would be a US attempt) Fox is going to be very surpised to see the fanbase go nowhere near it.</description>
