Friday Link Dump
November 23rd, 2007 -- by Augie De Blieck Jr.
- I’m setting up a Christmas tree today. I’m sure it’ll take all day. Wish me luck.
- Crazy optical illusion. It looks like a tall bar code. But when you pull back from the monitor, a scary visage appears. Crazy! And here’s how you do it!
- Who doesn’t want a ball pit in their living room? Who, I ask you?
- If pre-tween kids were to design a computer today, what would it look like? It would include buttons for Google, Barbie.com, Best Friends, and Cell Phone.
- What if Microsoft designed Google Mail? It would be ugly, but colorful!
- A day at Lambeau Field, in two minutes. One guy set up his camera in the corner of the stadium and had it fire every twenty seconds for an entire game day. I love the bit at the end where the clean up crew circles the stadium.
- Unbelievably, the Amazon Kindle sells out in less than six hours. Are tech pundits completely wrong on this one? Are consumers gullible? Will just about anything new and techy sell at Christmas time? Only time will tell. . .
- I don’t think I could have talked my wife into making this our first dance.
- Are you looking for a real life split screen between a bill and the Washington D.C. building pictured on it? Look no further. That had to be tricky.
- Breakout is a stupid game.
- Not particularly shocking: Viral Videos aren’t always naturally viral. Follow the link to learn how they do it. There are probably some lessons in there for frustrated Digg users who realize their stories don’t stand a chance at being seen more than 5 times without some serious “help.”

First, Happy Thanksgiving to you and the Mrs., Augie!
Second, that article about Windows Live Mail is so on the money it hurts.
Third, I am so tempted to do something like that dance if I ever get married.
And the Breakout link goes directly to V&S.com.

Thanks on all counts, Phil. And a Happy T-Weekend to you and all of yours, as well! I haven’t goofed up a link in a link dump in a while. I’ll see if I can go correct that one now.
Done!
