After TELLOS and SPIDER-MAN, I'd go with his recent FANTASTIC FOUR run, collected now complete in three hardcover editions from Marvel. His FLASH stuff is also legendary, though it's some of his first work, so you have to keep that in mind while reading it.

I need to get that TELLOS hardcover. I've never read the series, and in fact, I didn't even hear about it until his death. I blame that time away from comics from mid-97 to fully jumping back into the pool around early 2004.

The funny thing is, I'm sure I read a few of those Todd/Ringo SPIDER-MAN issues; I stopped reading all Spider-Man (save for UNTOLD) when Ben Reilly was in the new red-and-blues. Only after they released PPSM #75 did I get back into it.. and then stopped buying comics altogether the next year.

Besides TELLOS and SPIDER-MAN, what of his would you suggest I pick up?

Thanks, Shawn!

Phil - Thanks, it was tougher to watch than to record, that's for sure. (And Mike's brother had really nice words to say on it at his blog, which choked me up today.)

That Spidey/F4 mini was a light goofy thing, but enjoyable. Not the greatest thing ever, obviously, but right in Ringo's wheelhouse. I'm just pissed that we never got to see the next thing, whatever that would have been. (The Ellis project, the TELLOS revival, etc.)

If you've never read his SPIDER-MAN issues he did with Todd Dezago, go track those down. Well worth it.

Augie, I thought that was a great retrospective of Ringo's career, and yeah, I choked up a bit when Todd gave his final tribute. While I didn't think that highly of the story of this year's Spider-Man/FF limited series, I did love the artwork. I need to go buy a lot of back issues or trades to get more of his stuff.

Ringo left us way too soon.
