Still Twittering Along. . .
Dec 03
I’m still micro-blogging through Twitter. Check it out here. Here’s the latest:
- Word I’d like to strike from the English language: “merch”
- Still can’t believe the Chocolate Rain kid sold out like that.
- Read two ASTERIX books this week and it feels so good. . .
- Now that all the stabbing and shooting is over with, General Hospital is Just Another Soap Opera. This funeral ought to last three days. . .
- There’s a UPS package at the door of my neighbor across the hall from Smith and Wesson. Should I be worried?
- Double Dribble is now on the Wii Virtual Console! EXCELLENT! Remember the attempt at voice — “Double Dwibble”?
- I’m really happy with the content on Variousandsundry.com at the moment — no doubt readership will be at an all-time low. ::sigh::
- Please, Adobe, open up an SDK for Noise Ninja to work as a plug in for Lightroom. I’d pay big money.
- Is there ANY chance a gift-shopper in my family might look at my Amazon wish list and sort by “Priority” instead of the default?
- Dear Amazon: I’d put one of your Kindle ads on my site if you had JUST ONE that wasn’t animated.
- Amazon shipped a package to me at the beginning of the week. USPS Tracking Notice says it’s waiting to be picked up. Huh?!?
- Balancing five projects in e-mail at the same time. GMail could really use some folder functionality right about now. . .
- I love how other people always talk about these great regular deals they find on eBay that NEVER show up when I search on them.
- To whit: There are no $100 Canon EF 20mm f/2.8 lenses on eBay. That poster on the Flickr message board is a LIAR!
- Great, now I’m getting spam “followers.” Can you kick followers off from your account?
- Thanks, @mikesterling and @mescutia – I have blocked a half dozen people now and feel purer for it.
- I have a completely open weekend, schedule-wise, and there’s nothing I really want to do. UGH
- Finished the Christmas cards for this year.
- Damn, PayPal.com moves slowly. It’s like being on an old dial-up connection, waiting for it to load the next page
- Walter Ray Williams Jr. FTW #44!
- variousandsundry.com now redirects to www.variousandsundry.com Watch my SEO profile SOAR! Riiiiiight.
- My problem with Don’t Forget the Lyrics is that I usually know the lyrics to the Weird Al versions of the tunes better than the originals.

Is that not really dodgy? Do the UPS guys not leave the package at the post/sorting office or with a trusted neighbour if no-one is in? Any old hoodlum could just go into the hall, pick it up and have themselves a brand new gun.

The funny thing is — he left a message out on the front door to the UPS guy with specific directions for this package. (Call him first, I believe.) The good news is, you have to get inside the locked front door to get access to the eight units inside. I have dorm living, yes. So I suppose it’s better than random teenagers seeing it and running off with it.
I just know better than to piss him off now. =)
