Film geeks anxiously awaiting James Cameron’s first big-screen spectacular in nearly 15 years are going to have to wait just a little bit longer.On Wednesday, 20th Century Fox announced it will postpone the Oscar-winning helmer’s highly anticipated 3-D sci-fi action film Avatar, from May 22, 2009 until Dec. 18, 2009.

No, it is not a good feeling - BUT when he is done you can count on it to be the best thing since… well, ever. It’s going to be simply awesome.

I’m ok with it. I think it’s a good idea, if nothing else, to allow more time for 3-D theaters to be set up. That’s going to be THE only way to see this movie properly (or is that at all?).

No, Cameron will be releasing Avatar in 2D as well unfortunately.

I’m waiting for a trailer. I have no idea what to think of the movie at this point. Is there even all that much known about it?
