Ya ever get that sinking feeling?

Universal HD DVD exclusivity contract has expired, sits non-renewed - Engadget

What I find funny is that Universal has now released a statement saying that their “current” plans are to support HD DVD. but the funny thing is just a couple of weeks ago, Warner said that their “current” plan was to support both formats. And we see how that worked out. So, based on their “current” statement, they could announce Blu-ray tomorrow and it would not contradict their “current” plans. I just love these crazy press announcements.
