I have participated in similar programs for defective DVDs (most recently for my Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl Blu-ray disc) and this is usually how a lot of these programs work. They send you a form and envelope, you send in the disc and they send the correct one back. It is annoying, but they do it so people don't try to scam their way into a free disc. But, fortunately, every single time I have participated in something like this, I have gotten everything back ok. I am waiting on my Pirates replacement disc now, but then I just sent it in last week. Typically, the turn around is really good. In most cases, I have gotten the discs back within 2 weeks of sending in the original. A pain yes, but when you get the right product with all the features, it is worth it.

I would hope if that if for some reason one of the discs got lost in the mail they would have some way of still giving you the correct disc since you;d still have the case showing you really do own it.

It's amazing to me how big a mess they can make of such a popular and profitable game franchise. Out of 4 versions, two (PS3 & Wii) have major problems that are angering probably half the people that purcahses them. That's not good business...

Luckily I bought the PS3 version...but instead of being mad about mono sound, I'm angry at Activision for blocking the release of the patch that allows the PS3 GH3 guitar to be used in Rock Band. Thanks Activision. Thanks.

What a mess... glad I bought the PS2 version and returned the Wii version once I heard about this. Plus, I'm able to play Rock Band now that I have two PS2 guitars!!
