It was okay. I hadn't been to the movies in months, so I could have seen *anything* and I would have enjoyed it, but it was certainly entertaining.

My problem with it is that yeah, it was entertaining, but there wasn't a whole lot of Indiana Jones in it. The action was okay, but compare it to the action sequences from past films and you really see how this one fell flat.

Shia's character was a dud. Totally uninteresting. And it's a crime that LOXG will go down as Connery's last movie. Even ten seconds in this one would have been better. :(

There were a whole lot of things I hated about this film - one major thing I despised was the over-reliance of CGI compared to cold hard special effects and stunt-men - maybe lit ooked more "real", but you lost that old-time serial film "look" in the process, which is truly Indiana Jones.

Also - an Indiana Jones film - where Indiana Jones essentially just sits back in his rocking chair and lets youngsters do the stuff he used to - makes you wonder what the point of even including him was. And Shia L's character - never really captured being the center of the film as was what was obviously intended. I didn't really care about anyone in the film - so any element of danger - just fell on deaf ears and was wasted.

And - Karen Allen - it was so wonderful to see her there - but she was merely window dressing for the most part. There was a whole lot of stuff they could have done with her ( and her relationship to Indy, and to her son, etc ) that it left me wanting more.

And - swinging through the jungles with the monkeys......

They made a scene for an Indiana Jones film.. that even by their standards - was ludicrious.

All in all - a dissapointing film, not a great send-off for the franchise at all. Ironically, the MUMMY franchise - which is essentially a rip of Indy's - looks to be releasing their newest sequel soon - and it looks 10 times better for maybe a quarter of the budget, if that.
