- iTunes 2008 Best of Podcasts lists disgusts me. 90% of it is rewarmed radio and television shows. They’re afterthoughts, not podcasts.
- @LordShaper – I love people who tell you how easy it is to start a 10,000 listener podcast. Yeah, start with a 20,000 listener podcast.
- Being home during the day is SO DAMNED COOL. Why must I go back to work tomorrow? Baby is so cute, too. She’s being an angel.
- No, seriously, the girl and I (and her mother) had a very lovely day today. Tomorrow, it’s back to work and Suck Van Suck Suck life crap.

- Those YouTube search bars across the tops of their videos is driving me nuts. I’m so shallow..
- Why is Photoshop so expensive? Because it takes an awful lot of programmers and research to do the things it does. Coding ain’t cheap.
- @OttoBott – From strictly an economic standpoint, I think Adobe might make MORE money if they lowered the price. Make it up in volume.

What bugs me about the iPod list – is that it only seems to be viewable if you’re part of the itunes cult that downloads the damn software. I think Smodcast is included, which is a fun show – but hardly one of the best things on the net. It also probably missed gems like John Siuntres’ great comic interview podcast at Wordballoon.com and keith & the Girl’s long running podcast at katg.com/
Music recommendations? In his latest missive Warren Ellis recommended the new PARTS AND LABOR album “Receivers” – which is pretty good psychedelic pop I think. My recommendation is either RAPHAEL SAADIQ’s “The Way I See It” – which comes off almost as a LOST Motown album — or the BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB Live at Carnegie Hall cd – which is amazing. Or if you want bizarre – try Rufus Wainright’s Live at Carnegie Hall cd which is a 2cd set where he redoes the famous Judy Garland Live at Carnegie Hall set in all his pomp and glory.
