Sable – aired on ABC starring Rene Russo. I really enjoyed the show back then even with the annoying blind guy named “Cheesecake”. “Lights, Camera, Action” was Leonard Nimoy’s show and I loved it as well.

I’d still like to see “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” on DVD. Post-Quantum Leap and post-Murphy Brown Scott Bakula + first big role for Maria Bello, aired on CBS and got cancelled with several episodes unaired.

Matthew, the first season of Superboy is out on DVD. I still need to pick that up myself one of these days.

Also Augie, if you’re going to suggest YCDTOT (which I wholeheartedly reccomend) they also need to release the UFO Kidnapped one hour drama special they did with cast members. Trying to show they could more than comedy.

Matthew — I had to look up Beans Baxter, but can’t believe I forgot it. Don’t know that I ever watched is regularly at the time, but I do remember it. Man, haven’t thought about that one for years. And Herman’s Head is an odd one. I enjoyed it back in the day, and I’ve seen it on lists like this before. I wonder why it never made it out? Maybe it was too “obscure?” Strange.

Porkspam — HBO had some interesting shows back then. I’d like to see Brain Games, myself. That’s one I remember well. “Brain Game is now over.”

Nick had some odd shows on in the early 80s, too, before they solidified their brand by importing cheaper shows from Canada. ;-) I can remember Leonard Nimoy hosting a show taking you behind the scenes of movies of the day, for one.

On HBO when i was a kid in the 80’s they had a tv show on in the morning called Encyclopedia. Each week, or episode they would cover a different letter and do various subjects on it. I remember a specific one with a song about Lief Erickson being the guy that discovered america. COuld still sing the song to you..

Vaguely also remember a cartoon called Bananaman on nick.
Another good cartoon,from memory was Fantastic Max

THE ADVENTURES OF BEANS BAXTER (Fox, 1987 I believe)

NIGHTMARE CAFE (1992? I think…)

HERMAN’S HEAD (FOX, 1991)

And in some crazy sick way, the late 80s SUPERBOY show is a guilty pleasure of the highest order. And many of the PTEN shows that weren’t “Babylon 5″. I love B5, don’t get me wrong, but I remember all the other shows that came out with them and enjoyed their goofy charm.
