Quick Link Dump for 2012-12-21
- Celebrate Christmas the Commodore 64 way!
- Netflix encodes everything 120 times, to account for all the formats they need to deliver to. I bet 100 of those are just Android devices. . .
- Here’s a dream job: An office with “library rules”.
- Something I couldn’t possibly agree with more: When learning programming, type the code! Cutting-and-pasting it won’t help you. It’s tough to explain, but you learn better when you type it out, even if it seems slow and tedious to you as you do it. When it comes time to write your own code from scratch, you’ll need that training to type stuff in from memory with no aid. Typing in the code you’re learning is the only way to go.
